Your Definitive Guide to Understanding and Improving Your Posture

The fitness industry loves to tell us how not to move our bodies, and it has made a living creating narratives that make us afraid to move. Posture is a great example of this. I have assessed hundreds of clients' posture, and done countless posture assessments, and in almost every single one that I’ve done, the person standing in front of me has led with some variation of “my posture is terrible.” Even bringing up the concept of posture with friends leads to some version of this statement, but when I ask anyone why they think they have terrible posture, no one can come up with a very good answer. It begs the question, how does everybody just know? How can we be so certain there even is such a thing as good or bad posture? Because if everyone has ‘bad’ posture, is it really bad?

This is your definitive guide to everything related to your posture. In this series I will lay out for you first and foremost why there is no such thing as good or bad posture. But, knowing this, if improving your posture is important to you, this series will give you a roadmap towards improving it in an effective sustainable way. And if you are interested in the specific exercises I use to improve my client’s posture, email us at Noah@Wovenpl.com and I will send you the program I created.
